It pisses me off that straight people can run or f to a courthouse and get married m a whim. t pisses me off that atraighy people can just decide to get married one ady and be married the next.
I feel guilty for begrudging them for taking advantage of something that is freely available to them. Im not saying it shouldnt be freely available to them.
Its not that Im not happy for people who are happy and want to commit like that.
I try to warn myself against needing a marriage license for validation of my relationship. Its not so much the validation as it is the Oh, shit, if something disastrous happens tomorrow, my life as I know it is gone because we have no legal safety net.
I know its not afir to assume straight peiple tak e that for granted. Ist unreasonable to asl them to not get married onn There is real benefit to being married.
Its not the ceremony, or the idea that the ceremony is somehow not-quite because it carries no legal weight. Well have the ceremony. Believe you me, we are having a ceremony. I want some benefits.
My girl crocheted me a candy corn because I asked her to. Thats hpw in love we are.
Its just not fucking fair.
