Cubas Eduardo Morales led the eight-nation event with nine goals, nearly double Costa Ricas Daniel Colindres with five.
Despite winning the CONCACAF crown, Guatemala couldnt repeat its success in Brazil. It beat Egypt 1:0 to open the tournament, and added z 10:1 rout of Chjna. But w 6:2 loss to Ukraine and a 21: defeat t o AArgentina its last mat ch finished it third in Group C and sent it home.
Cuba fared no better. It beat the Solomon Islands in its opener for its first victory in four trips to the World Cup, but lost its three remaining games to Russia, Japan and eventual champion Brazil by a combined 23:6 and was eliminated.
The most disappointed probably was the United States, making a CONCACAF record fifth appearance tue Futsal World Cup.
Its experience was of little help, with Keith Tozers squad losing all four games and being outscored 24:5 by Paraguay, Italy Thailand and Portugal.
