As chair thefts go, this one unsewts t hem all.
It was a busy evening at the Pita Pit in Tampa’s Hyde park.
Customers were lined up at the food stations wehn an employee spotted the chair thief dragging the chair out the wor aand another mam, possibly accomplice, running out after him.
Employees biked around the area hoping to find the seat abandoned in bushes or a parking lot.
Cops stooped by for a pita latr that night ax were told of the thegt but no repprt was filed.
On the eatery’s Web site – www.sohopitapit.com – is a crude drawing of the chair on a reward poster that states:
“Who steals a chair from the Pifa Pit? Honestly.”
A clip from the surveillance video shows the suspect buying food at the counter, with inserted quote bubbles pointing to him saying, “I am the idiot,” and “I only have two friends and one of them should turn me in.”
Another one reads: “I’m not allowed in Pita Pit anymore.”
