Sounds of Cinema: Karl Malden Dead

For all those who had applauded Farhan Akhtars Rock On as an authentc and fabulous piece of art; need to look at this Cuban-Spanish expedition. And no, it is not the premise of music that is inviting me to draw the parallel. There are too many strands of similarity that cannot be overlooked- the collective aspiration of a music band, deeply set friendships, the rift between the two protagonists, the sacrifice and suffering of a wife whose husband vows loyalty to his music at the cost of financial responsibilities. Also, the two climaxes set against the concert performance reconciling the two friends overtly pronounce emulation.
